In Africa, the populations of countries in the Sahel region are facing a food security threat due to the persistence of insecurity. According to a recent report by the (RCPA), the Food Crisis Prevention Network based in Paris more than 9 million people are in immediate need of food assistance. And if nothing is done by June 2020, 14 million people might be suffering from famine.
